My family has lunch together every sunday at my grandmother’s house. On the rare occasion we don’t have lunch together, we’re like lost children at the grocery store - overwhelmed and confused. My mom and I decided that this week, because my grandparents were busy, we would try some place new in the new extension of High Street in the Fort. Lucky for us, this new restaurant, Cue (short for Barbecue — witty right?), had just opened! If you’ve ever eaten in Mamou or 2nd’s then you HAVE TO TRY Cue. It’s DELICIOUS. Before I start to tempt you with the food we ate, I wanted to talk about the Interiors of the space. I loved how it was mature and warm with the right amount of color and pops of red and orange. The ceiling in particular interested me - what else is new.. - They covered half of it with cow hide and animal print fabrics while the rest of it was covered with this lovely wall paper. The drop lights were so cute too!
Crunchy Baby Squid - The dipping sauce was so good! it was the right amount of lemon to mayo ratio.
Doesnt that look DEADLY? The House Burger. It was everything a burger should be, oozing with cheese and super filling!
Lamb Ribs. I love lamb so I have really high standards, and this did not disappoint me! Tip: Get the buttermilk mashed potatoes with it! It reminds me of the duck confit in 2nds.
Bone Marrow and Steak Tacos. This was the HIGHLIGHT of my meal. I did not anticipate how tasty this would be! the steak was perfectly cooked and the bone marrow was delicious! Order this for sure!
I just wanted a picture of the jars the juice came in so I made my brother in law order anything that came in the jars. Thank god he’s cooperative :))
Definitely a place I want to go back to! You should go too! I’m actually hesitant to post this because i’m worried that I wont be able to get a table the next time I want to go… but it’s so good I had to share it with all of you!
